The Summer Project
Spreading care, dignity, and joy for young ladies in foster care.
Homesteaders for the Holidays is getting ready for our next giving project, and this one is all about showing some love to Hope Haven.
The Summer Project is a seasonal giving initiative focused on supporting teen girls ages 13 to 17 who are part of the foster care system. Through this mini summer drive, we are collecting items that help make the season feel a little more normal, a little more joyful, and a lot more supported.
This project is centered around both everyday necessities and confidence-building items. Donations will help provide hygiene products, makeup, creative supplies, and small comforts that allow these young women to express themselves and feel included.
One specific request from Hope Haven is for insulated, on-trend water bottles. These are items many of their peers have, but they are often out of reach for the girls they serve. Something as simple as having the same kind of water bottle can help them feel more confident and less set apart.
Every item collected is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and worthy of care.
There is no act of kindness too small. Together, we can help make this summer a little brighter.
